Mrs. Imogene Wilson Shemwell age 72 of Clifty, KY passed away Tuesday December 5, 2017 10:24 a.m. in the Jennie Stuart Medical Center ER of natural causes. Services will be Friday December 8, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton,KY with Rev. Ron Noffsinger and Rev. Danny Laster officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Thursday December 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton.
Mrs. Shemwell was born in Todd County December 31, 1944 the daughter of Irene Slaughter Wilson and the late Shelby Wilson. She had been employed by Rockwell Manufacturing in Russellville, KY and was retired from Elkton Die Casting. She is preceded in death by one Sister Glenadine Brown. She was a member of New Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Besides her mother Irene Wilson she is survived by her husband of 52 years Harold Shemwell of Clifty, KY, her son Jerry Shemwell of Clifty, KY, her daughters Sirena Yates of Lacy, KY, Bridget and her husband Kevin Shrull of Russellville, KY, and Sherry and her husband Troy Martin of Elkton, KY, her brothers Jackie Wilson of Dunmor, KY, Jerry Wilson of Beechmont, KY and Bobby Wilson of Clifty, KY, her sisters Betty Inman of Beechcrek, KY, Janice Hunt of Lewisburg, KY and Donna Mayes of Elkton, KY, her grandchildren Jared and Trace Yates, Sierra Shemwell, Morgan Gresham, Jayla and Jayden Leavell, Blane and Lilly Martin, Bryce and Brett Shrull, her Great Grandchildren Landon, Laiden and Londyn Majors.
