Mrs. Glennie Margaret Jones Cathcart, age 82 of Elkton, passed away 4:53 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Creekwood Place in Russellville, KY of natural causes. Services for Mrs. Glennie will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 30, 2017 at Latham Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the McColpin Cemetery in Allegre. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Saturday at Latham Funeral Home until time for the service.
Mrs. Glennie was born February 6, 1935 in the Tuckertown Community in Todd County the daughter of the late Ausbon “A.B.” Barnett Jones and Lola T. Tucker Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Britmart Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Elkton Senior Citizens and participated yearly in the Senior Games. Mrs. Glennie was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Cathcart in 2000, her grandson, Stevie Watkins and her sisters, Alberta Utley and Maxine Hightower.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Cathcart of Hopkinsville, Steve Watkins of Russellville, Joe Watkins of Lewisburg, Charles Watkins of Olmstead and Ricky Cathcart of Elkton; her daughters, Ruthie Grace of Russellville and Charlotte Case of Elkton; her sisters, Roberta Patrick of Elkton and Velma Crawford of Hopkinsville; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
