Mr. David Earl Mansfield age 74 of Clifty, KY passed away Wednesday October 11, 2017 6:55 p.m. at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Sunday October 15, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Tony Evitts and Rev. Joe Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Heltsley Cemetery in Clifty, KY. Visitation will be Saturday October 14, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday October 15, 2017 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home.
Mr. David was born in Muhlenberg County,KY July 2, 1943 the son of the late Leslie Earl Mansfield and Elsa D. McKinney Mansfield. He was retired car dealer having owned Mansfield Used Cars in Clifty, KY, Mansfield Automotive in Greenville, KY and Mansfield Chevrolet, Buick in Russellville, KY. He was a member of Joines Chapel General Baptist Church where he served as Deacon since 1973 and also served as Sunday School Teacher. Mr. David served on the Board of Directors of United Southern Bank from 1985 until 2015. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his twin Great Grandchildren Conner and Kinley McGehee.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Davis Mansfield of Clifty, KY, his sons Alan and his wife Gayla Mansfield, and Tommy and his wife Patty Mansfield all of Clifty, KY Todd and his wife Hannah Mansfield of Elkton, KY and his daughter Sandy and her husband Jeff Lear of Clifty, KY, also 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
