Wilma Jean Mayes

Mrs. Wilma Jean Mayes age 67 of the Tywhoppetty Community passed away Saturday March 24, 2018 10:22 p.m. at her residence of natural causes. Services will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. James Roy Lear and Rev. Donald McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in the New Harmony-Bivins Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Monday March 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mayes was born in Allegre, KY November 7, 1950. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. She is preceded in death by her parents Oliver Jones and Margie Phipps Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Sammy Mayes of Tywhoppetty, KY, her son Chris and his wife Jessica of Elkton, KY, her daughters Jennifer and her husband Nick Gibson of Tywhoppetty, and Jessica and her husband Michael Willetts of Elkton, her brother Dorris Jones of Allegre, KY, her sisters Ann Duncan of Hopkinsville, KY and Helen McKinney of Lewisburg, KY, 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
