Weltha B. Carter

Mrs. Weltha Baggett Carter, age 94 of Trenton, passed away Friday morning, August 17, 2018 at NHC Nusing Facility in Hendersonville, TN of natural causes. Services for Mrs. Weltha will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2018 at Trenton Baptist Church in Trenton, KY with Rev. Dean Anderson, Rev. Tom Hughes and Rev. Ed Coy officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Weltha will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday at the Church. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Weltha was born October 8, 1923 in Robertson County, TN the daughter of the late Comer and Sarah Elizabeth Elliott Baggett. She was retired from Life and Casualty Insurance Co. in Nashville, TN after 20 years of service. She was a member of Trenton Baptist Church, which she dearly loved and was active in the work of the church as long as her health permitted. She had also been attending Woodland Street United Methodist Church in Springfield, TN. Mrs. Weltha had been a past member of the Trenton Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Price Carter in 2006.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews also her sister in law, Ann Baggett Moulton of Springfield, TN.
