Virgil G. Jones

Mr. Virgil G. Jones age 79 of Hopkinsville,KY formerly of Todd County passed away Wednesday November 18, 2020 9:00 a.m. at his residence. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Cemetery in Christian County with Rev. Darrell Russell officiating with burial to follow. There will be no public visitation.
Mr. Jones was born in Henderson, KY May 12, 1941 the son of the late Otho Jones and Wylene Brumfield Jones. He was owner of Virgil Jones body shop, and truck driver for Poole Schnieder of Alabama. Mr. Jones was also a Kentucky Colonel. He is preceded in death by his brothers Robert Jones, Morris Jones and Howard “Captain” Jones , his sister Polly Dossett.
He is survived by his son Chad S. Jones and his wife Christina of Hopkinsville, his grandchildren Alyssa Erwin and her husband Dustin, Olivia Woody and her husband Cody, and Jacob Jones, his great grandchild Camden Erwin.
