Mrs. Virgie Schubert, age 84 of Elkton, passed away 3:00 AM, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes. Services for Mrs. Virgie will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. David Wilkerson officiating. Services will be live-streamed from our website lathamfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at Latham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Virgie was born December 25, 1936 the daughter of the late Coleman Y. and Mallie Cox Stokes. She was a Nurse for 40 years having worked at Dr. Bell’s Clinic in Elkton. She was a member of Elkton Baptist Church and was a Red Cross Volunteer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Schubert, her brother, Wayne Stokes and her sister, Margie Mallory.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Wayne Schubert of Houston, TX and Gary Steven Schubert and his wife, Rene of Denver, Colorado; her daughters, Dianne Marie Watts and her husband David of Trenton and Linda Ann Arms of Elkton; her sister, Nancy Buchanan of Demotte, IN; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
