Mrs. Vicky Gardner Poindexter, age 84 of Allensville, KY passed away Wednesday, October 04, 2023 8:30 a.m. at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, KY. Services will be Saturday October 7, 2023 12:00 noon at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Mr. Justin Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton. Visitation will be Saturday October 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12 noon at the funeral home. Services will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mrs. Poindexter was born in Allensville, KY September 21, 1939. She was a homemaker and Personal Caregiver. She was a member of the Allensville Church of Christ, and held a Bachelors Degree from Austin Peay State University. She was a member of the Trenton Homemakers Club and loved quilting and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter Lewis Gardner and Annie Irene Suddeath Gardner, and her sisters Johnnie Bray and Sarah Gardner.
She is survived by her sons B.L. Poindexter of Clarksville, TN, John Poindexter and his wife Harriett of Clarksville, TN, Robert Poindexter and his wife Dawn of Adams, TN and Steve Poindexter of Clarksville, TN, her grandchildren Sara (Bradly) Ellis, Brant (Michaela) Poindexter, Kathryn Poindexter, Emily (Sam) Poindexter, and Holly Poindexter, her great grandchildren Wyatt and Weston Ellis.
