Vernon Thomas Turner

Mr. Vernon Thomas “Bunt” Turner, age 94 of Elkton, passed away 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 04, 2020 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes. Graveside services will be 12 noon Saturday November 7, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev Ron Turner officiating with burial to follow.
Mr. Turner was born in Trigg County, KY January 25, 1926 the son of the late John Samuel Turner and Lillie Arthelia Rogers Turner. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He loved playing cards at senior citizens building and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife Orene Templeman Turner in 2014, his sisters Lorene Turner, Pauline Billlingsly, Nancy Turner and Martha Turner, his brothers Robert Turner, Rube Turner, George Turner, John Hardin Turner and Bobby Turner.
He is survived by his daughters Jo Glover and her husband Eston, Kay Hurt and her husband Billy all of Elkon and Jan Mitchell and her husband Randy of Princeton, KY, his brother Dilly Turner of Elkton, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
