Velma Eulala Dukes

Mrs. Velma Eulala Owens Dukes age 85 of Elkton, KY passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 2:50 p.m. at the residence of her daughter in Elkton. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 1, 2019 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Donald McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Rosewood, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday July 31, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton.
Mrs. Dukes was born in Rosewood, KY February 12, 1934. She retired from Flynn Enterprise in Elkton, KY. She attended Elkton Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church in Todd County. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Romeo Dukes in 2013, her parents Vernon “Ben” Latham and Gladys Evelyn Garrett Latham.
She is survived by her sons Vernon Owens of Cadiz, KY and Ronnie Owens of Louisville, KY, her daughters Kay Wair of Nashville, TN, Judy Massey of Powderly, KY, Connie Cooper and her husband James of Wellington, KS, and Mary Ann Rice and her husband Keith of Elkton, KY, her brother Drexil Latham of Russellville, KY, and her sister Deweese Steel of Bowling Green, KY, 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
