Rita Sue Gibson

Mrs. Rita Sue Gibson age 76 of Elkton, KY passed away Monday September 28, 2020 1:22 P.M. at her residence of natural causes. Memorial service will be Friday October 2, 2020 1:00 P.M. at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Byler officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Kentucky June 9, 1944 the daughter of the late David Thomas Hightower and Reba Claris Brown Hightower. Mrs. Gibson had been employed at Elkton Apparel, Owner Operator of G&H Bar B Que Bus, Southfork Restaurant and retired from ARDCO. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Todd County and in the 70’s she was a member of Dixie Square Dancers. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Ginger Lynn Gibson in 1969.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Doug “Hoot” Gibson of Elkton, her daughters Stacy Gibson and her husband David Harper of Nashville, TN, and Mendy Strader and her husband Jamie of Elkton, KY, and 3 Grandchildren.
