Mary Magdalene (Lena) Martin

Mrs. Mary Magdalena “Lena” Martin, age 95 of Fairview, KY and formerly of Denver, Pennsylvania, passed away 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her residence. Services for Mrs. Martin will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2023 at Meadow Valley Church, 228 Vaughns Grove Fairview Rd, Pembroke, KY 42266 with Bishop Steven Leid officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Valley Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Martin will be Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at her residence 2345 Morton Lane, Trenton, KY 42286. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Martin was born January 22, 1928 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker and attended Miller Valley Old Order Mennonite Church in Elkton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos S. and Annie High Hurst, her husband Wayne R. Martin and her daughter, Minerva (Eli) Newswanger.
Survivors include her sons, Warren Martin in Ohio, Elias Martin and his wife Ada of Missouri, Wayne Martin and his wife Lena of Fairview, KY and James Martin and his wife Norma of Missouri; her daughter, Annetta Shirk and her husband Edwin of Missouri; her sister, Naomi Leinbach and her husband Ben of Ohio; 46 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
