Lewis Gene Powell

Mr. Lewis Gene Powell age 74 of Elkton, KY passed away Monday September 3, 2018 2:46 p.m. at his residence of natural causes. Graveside services will be Thursday September 6, 2018 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Todd County with Rev. Tommy Wilhite and Rev. Danny Laster officiating with burial to follow. There will be no visitation. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Powell was born in Todd County July 11, 1944. He was a retired Supervisor for Alcoa Aluminum in Evansville, IN and a Baptist by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents Marvin Lewis Powell and Mary Evelyn Rager Powell, his wife Karen Yvonne Hurtt Powell in 2009, his sister Ruth Ann Draper.
He is survived by his sons Kelly Gene Powell of Bryan, TX, and Daniel Lewis Powell of Owensboro, KY, his daughter Monica Lynn Powell of Mt. Vernon, IN, his step sons Robert Hurtt and Chris Powell both of Elkton, KY and Keith Powell of Adams, TN, 12 Grandchildren.
