Leona H. Bockweg

Mrs. Leona H. Robey Bockweg, age 94 of Elkton, passed away 10:05 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton of natural causes. Private services will be held with Rev. Matt Seel and Mr. Kurt Zander officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Todd County.
Mrs. Bockweg was born in Todd County May 11, 1925. She was retired from The Department of Human Resources, had served 7 years on the Elkton City Council, served on the Elkton Planning Commission, Todd County Women’s Club, and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a member of Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She is preceded in death by her parents Byron G. Harris and Irene E. Bowers Harris, her husband Bill Robey in 1982, her son Joe Neal Robey in 1988, her husband Bernie Bockweg in 2004, her step sons Buddy and Darrell Bockweg, her step daughter Mary Jackie Jones.
She is survived by her niece Joyce Zander and her husband Kurt of Hopkinsville, KY, her nephew Jimmy Lindsey and his wife Shelia of Hopkinsville,KY, and her special friend Anna Rose of Elkton, KY and 7 step grandchildren.
