Mrs. Josephine Adams Edwards Everett, age 92 of Elkton, passed away 11:30 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN of natural causes. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church in Elkton with Rev. Matt Seel officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Josphine will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church until time for the service. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
Mrs. Josephine was born November 24, 1924 in Trenton, KY the daughter of the late Edward Thomas Edwards and Rosa Ermine Adams Edwards. She was a member of Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church for over 70 years where she was a member of the Emmeaus Community, Friendship Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edward Everett in 2000.
Mrs. Josephine is survived by her son, Gene E. Everett of Elkton; her daughter, Rosamond Everett Briggs and her husband Ernie of Clarksville, TN; her grandchildren, Susan Elizabeth Hester and Chip Briggs and her great grandson, Tipton Everett Hester; 5 Nieces and 2 Nephews.
