John Mitchell Power

Mr. John Mitchell “Mitch” Power, age 59 of Elkton, passed away 7:30 PM, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. Services will be Tuesday April 12, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. Visitation will be Monday April 11, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until the funeral hour at Latham Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
Mr. Power was born May 29, 1962 in Hopkinsville, KY. Mitch had been providing transportation for the Amish Community for many years and at one time was employed by Byler’s Sawmill. Mitch loved animals and visiting with everyone. He is preceded in death by his mother Nancy Carroll Greer Power in 2009.
He is survived by his father Johnny Bob Power of Elkton, his step mother Linda Lack Power of Elkton, his brother Mark Power and his wife Deana of Elkton, and his sister Connie Hadden of Elkton.
The family has asked that donations be given to Hearthstone Place Activities Fund, 506 Allensville St., Elkton, KY 42220.
