Jimmy R Scott

Mr. Jimmy R. Scott, age 79 of Elkton, passed away 1:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023 at his residence. Services for Mr. Jimmy will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Davenport officiating. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time for the service.
Mr. Jimmy was born September 4, 1943 in Todd County, KY. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Elkton. Mr. Jimmy had served on the Elkton City Council. He loved his family, enjoyed his antique tractors and working outside. He was a retired truck driver and was the former owner and operator of Jimmy R. Scott Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill B. and Jennie Olis Armor Scott, his daughter, Sarita Scott Jones; his brothers, Harold Ray Scott, Bobby Scott and Glenn Scott; also his sister, Linda Scott Settle.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rantha Scott; his son, Joseph Scott of Hopkinsville; his daughters, Sharon Willis and her husband, John of Clarksville, TN and Jennifer Scott Berry and her husband Craig of Daysville; his sisters, LaVerne Bivins of Lakeland, Florida and Carol McKeehan of Sedalia, Missouri; his grandchildren, Shayla Berry, Abigayle Berry, Scottie Berry, Dominique Willis and Jonathan Willis and 5 Great Grandchildren.
