James Willard Willis

Mr. James Willard Willis age 72 of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday August 14, 2019 5:06 p.m. at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Saturday August 17, 2019 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Albert Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in the Willis Family Cemetery on Greenville Road. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY.
Mr. Willis was born in Muhlenberg County Kentucky April 9, 1947. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Assistant Sunday School Teacher and Assistant Music Leader. He is preceded in death by his parents James Charlie Willis and Zelma Lacy Willis.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dianne Willis of Hopkinsville, KY, his daughters Deana Powell an her husband Danny of Hopkinsville, KY, Laura Jones and her husband Ronnie of Greenville, KY, and Amy Koontz and her husband Max of Hopkinsville, KY, his brother Charles Willis of Martin, S.C., his sisters Faye Williams of Bowling Green, KY and Kaye Johnson of Phoenix, AZ 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
