Irene Wilson

Mrs. Irene Wilson, age 102 of Elkton, passed away 1:58 AM Saturday, April 04, 2020 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab in Hopkinsville of natural causes. Private services will be held for Mrs. Wilson. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery in Clifty, KY. Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 6, 1917 in Todd County, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Her husband Shelby Wilson passed away in 1966, she is also preceded in death by her parents Walter Slaughter and Briza Chapman Slaughter, her daughters Glenadine Brown in 2016 and Imogene Shemwell in 2017. She loved codling and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons Jackie Wilson and his wife Doris of Dunmor, KY, Jerry Wilson and his wife Sharon of Beechmont, KY and Bobby Wilson of Clifty, KY, her daughters Betty Inman of Beechcreek, KY, Janice and her husband James Hunt of Lewisburg, KY and Donna and her husband Roger Mayes of Elkton, KY 18 Grandchidren, 31 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.
