Harold Shemwell

Mr. Harold Shemwell, age 76 of Clifty,KY passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 11:38 a.m. at Owensboro Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY of natural causes. Services will be Tuesday October 15, 2019 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Ron Noffsinger and Rev. Danny Laster officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Monday October 14, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home.
Mr. Shemwell was born in Todd County August 11, 1943,in addition to being a farmer he was retired from Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of New Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar Shemwell and Margie Latham Shemwell wife Imogene Wilson Shemwell in 2017, his brother Howard Shemwell, his sisters Marilyn Jean Wilkerson and Linda Faye Laster.
He is survived by his son Jerry Shemwell and his wife Cynthia of Murray, KY, his daughters Sirena Yates of Lacey, KY, Bridget Shrulll of Hopkinsville, KY, and Sherry Martin of Clifty, KY, his brother Kenny Shemwell and his wife Linda of Clifty, his sister Sharon Hadden and her husband David of Russellville, KY, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
