Gene Edwin Everett Jr.

Mr. Gene Edwin “Genie” Everett Jr, age 74 of Elkton, passed away 6:11 AM, Sunday, January 05, 2020 at Tennova Health Care in Clarksville, TN of natural causes. Services will be Wednesday January 8, 2020 12:00 noon at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Rev. Matt Seel officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton, KY Visitation will be Tuesday January 7, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home. Visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Mr. Everett was born May 18, 1945 in Elkton, KY the son of the late Gene Edwin Everett Sr. and Josephine Adams Edwards Everett. He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation with more than 40 years service. Mr. Everett was a member of the Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his great talent as a drummer.
He is survived by his sister Rosamond Everett Briggs and her husband Ernie of Clarksville, TN, his Nephew Chip Briggs and Niece Susan Hester and her husband Brandon, his Great Nephew Tipton Hester.
