Edwin Spencer Artis

Mr. Edwin Spencer “Ed” Artis age 43 of Elkton, KY passed away 3:00 a.m. Tuesday April 23, 2019 at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Saturday April 27, 2019 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Chapel CME Church in Elkton, KY with Rev. Phillip Washington and Rev. Leatrice Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkton-Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday April 26, 2019 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY, on Saturday at Phillips Chapel CME Church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Mr. Artis was born May 20, 1975 in Beaumont, TX the son of Doris Ruth Artis Edwards and the late Charlie Wayne Edwards. He was employed with Flynn Enterprise in Elkton and Paris Packing in Hopkinsville, KY. He was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church in Allensville, KY.
Besides his Mother he is survived by his wife of 10 years Michelle Bell-Artis of Elkton, KY, his son Edwin Spencer “EJ” Artis Jr of Elkton, KY, his daughter Chessany Artis of Elkton, KY, his step son Third Bell of Elkton, KY and his step daughter Chellsea Bell of Bowling Green, KY, his sisters Cybil Kaye Artis of Louisville, KY, Ida Ruth Artis of Abilene, TX, and Sabrina Ann Artis of Hopkinsville, KY.
