Mr. Douglas Wayne Powell, age 66 of Elkton,KY passed away 12:53 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Friday January 31, 2020 1:00p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Darian Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY. Visitation will be Friday January 31, 2020 from 10:00 a..m. till the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home.
Mr. Powell was born in Muhlenberg County May 22, 1953. He was a retired mechanic from Wyatt-Johnson Chevrolet in Clarksville, TN after 31 years. He was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church in Russellville, KY. Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his parents Huel Belvert Powell and Fannie Pauline Segers Powell, his wife Lois Powell and his son Michael Douglas Powell in 2012.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Powell Rambo and her husband Timothy of Hopkinsville, KY, his brother Belvert “J.B.” Powell of Hopkinsville, KY, his sisters Betty Hutcheson and her husband Herman of Russellville, KY and Martha Chandler and her husband Marvin of Clifty, KY, his grandson Kevin Dwight Dukes II of Clarksville, TN.
