Doreen Sweeney

Mrs. Doreen Sweeney, age 81 of the Rosewood Community in Muhlenberg Co., KY passed away 12:41 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro of natural causes. There will be a private service for Mrs. Doreen and a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Burial will be at the Greenbriar School House Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sweeney was born in Gary, IN August 6 1938 the daughter of the late Paul Grant Carpenter and Doris Hall Carpenter. She was retired from Illinois Bell Telephone and a member of New Harmony General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years James Lawrence Sweeney of Rosewood, her sons James Grant Sweeney and his wife Pamela and Patrick Grey Sweeney and his wife Ann Marie all of Valparaiso, IN, her brother William Carpenter Portage, IN and her sister Gail Wilson of Knox, IN, 4 grandchidlren and 1 great grandchildren.
