Danny Shumate

Mr. Danny Shumate age 66 of Hopkinsville, KY and formerly of Todd County, passed away 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2021 at his residence of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service Saturday January 23, 2021 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon till the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Shumate was born November 30, 1954 in Hopkinsville, KY the son of the late Norris Ray Shumate and Mary Elsie Jones Shumate. He was retired from Hopkinsville Electric and had worked at Pennyrile Electric. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother David Shumate.
He is survived by his wife Beth Shumate of Hopkinsville, KY, his son Todd Shumate and his wife Angie of Gallatin, TN, his daughters Shannon Shumate of Hopkinsville, KY an Megan Hobson and her husband Chris of Roanoke, VA, his brother Steve Shumate of Pembroke, KY and his sisters Sharon Carver of Hopkinsville, KY and Shelly Markham of Elkton, KY. His grandchildren Camryn, Hayden, Trinity, Chandler, Gabriel, Kingston and Connor.
