Daniel Lee Kirkman

Mr. Daniel Lee Kirkman age 84 of Louisville, KY and formerly of Allegre, KY passed away Saturday October 28, 2023 7:59 p.m. at his residence in Louisville, KY. Services will be Saturday November 4, 2023 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Fred Harrison officiating and burial will follow in the Kirkman Cemetery in Todd County with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday November 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Services will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mr. Kirkman was born in Allegre, KY May 10, 1939. He was retired from General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville, KY where he had been an equipment operator. He was a Christian by faith and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved fishing and playing cards. He is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Ann Kirkman in 2021, his parents James Riley Kirkman and Agnes Stella Perry Kirkman, his sons Steven and Jeffrey Kirkman, his brothers Coy, Robert Cecil “R.C. Kirkman, his sisters Opal Kirkman and Sylvia Hadden and Mary Hart.
He is survived by his daughters Lisa Kirkman of Bowling Green, KY, Karen Thompson and her husband Glen of Brandenburg, KY and Barbara Meadows and her husband Travis of Vine Grove, KY, his brothers James Kirkman of Portage, IN and Lenden “Fuddy” Kirkman and his wife Ruth of Benton, KY his sisters Mildred Wasdin of Brunswick, Georgia and Edith Shanklin of Allegre, KY, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
