Clark Washington Shemwell

Mr. Clark Washington Shemwell age 92 of Sharon Grove, KY passed away Monday July 19, 2021 2:50 a.m. at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Thursday July 22, 2021 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home and 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday . Service will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mr. Shemwell was born in Todd County February 16, 1929. He was a farmer and a member of Bellview Baptist Church. He loved raising tobacco and watermelons. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Shemwell and Ermon Blake Shemwell, his step son Danny Hightower in 2009, his sisters Marie Bryant, Margaret Maxwell and Martha Mallory.
Mr. Shemwell is survived by his wife of 39 years Elsie Epley Shemwell of Sharon Grove, his sons Joe and Lewis Shemwell both of Sharon Grove, his step sons Billy Hightower and Wayne Winders both of Sharon Grove, his daughters Janie Fowler and Donna Jenkins both of Elkton, his brother James Calvin Shemwell of Sharon Grove, his sisters Sylvia Segers and Ruthelle Mayes both of Elkton and Joyce Brooks of Louisvile, KY, 8 Grandchidlren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
