Billy Joe Majors

Mr. Billy Joe Majors age 84 of Allegre, KY passed away Saturday March 9, 2024 7:00 p.m. at his residence. Services will be Friday March 15, 2024 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Mike Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Friday March 15, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mr. Majors was born October 16, 1939 in Muhlenberg County, KY. He was an Instrument Tech for Southwest Forest Industrial Paper Mill in Snowflake, AZ. He was a member of Trenton Assembly of God where he played guitar for the church Praise and Worship Team. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman Majors and Virginia Selvy Majors, his daughter Lavern Majors his brothers William “Mutt”, Harold, Bobby Douglas, Clifford, Paul “Pee Wee” and Charles Majors.
He is survived by his wife Pirvie Majors of Allegre, KY, his daughters Virginia Ann Majors of Allegre, KY and Beaverly Pirvie Petersen and her husband Robin of Overgaard, AZ, his brothers Freddy Majors of Greenville, KY, and Larry Majors of Rochester, KY, his grandchildren Crystal Joyce Petersen and Rebecca ‘Becky’ Kay Petersen.
