Mrs. Rose Williams Mitchell age 61 of Hopkinsville, KY and formerly of Elkton, KY passed away Wednesday February 1, 2017 6:00 a.m. at the residence of her daughter in Clarksville, TN. Services will be Saturday February 4, 2017 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Gene Johnson and Rev Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton. Visitation will be on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Mitchell was born July 28, 1955 in Elkton the daughter of Mary Nancy Pierce Williams of Russellville, KY and the late Mack Edward Williams. She was retired from the J.C. Penney Styling Salon in Hopkinsville, KY. She was an instructor for continuing education for Beauticians, attended Grace Ministries in Hopkinsville, KY and was a member of Elkton Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell volunteered in the Hopkinsville Recreation Department with the Senior Games and loved bowling. Her husband Robby Mitchell passed away in 2010.
She is survived by her Mother Mary Pierce Williams of Russellville, KY, her sons Robert “Bussy” (Brittany) Mitchell of Hopkinsville, KY and Russell (Layne) Mitchell of Hopkinsville, KY, her daughter Brooke (Marcus) Soto of Clarksville, TN, her sister Betty Jean Kirk of Smyrna, TN and 9 Grandchildren.
