Mrs. Rita Sue Smith age 60 of Clifty, KY passed away Friday April 7, 2017 3:07 p.m. at her residence of natural causes. Services will be Tuesday April 11, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Greenville, KY 217 West Depot Street with Rev. Bob Thurman and Rev. Donald McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnston Cemetery Clifty-Kirkmansville Road in Todd County. Visitation will be on Monday April 10, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Second Baptist. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sue was born in Muhlenberg County on September 20, 1956 the daughter of the late Cirlen Romeo Wells and Earlene Ione Sullivan Wells. She was Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of United Southern Bank of Clifty, KY for 33 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Darrell and Jackie Wells.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Teddy Smith of Clifty, KY, her daughters Sarah McDonald and her husband Josh of Central City, KY and Jenny Smith of Clifty, KY, her brother Dwight Wells and his wife Linda of Greenville, KY, her sister Debbie Shaver and her husband Barry of Central City, KY, her sister in law Jo Nell Wells of Greenville, KY, her grandchildren Sadie and Maddie McDonald.
