Mr. Ray Charles Detweiler age 79 of Guthrie, KY passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 9:51 a.m. at his residence of natural causes. Services will be Wednesday March 8, 2017 9:30 a.m. at the North District Amish Church on the Elkton-Trenton Road Guthrie, KY with Bishop Andy Schlabach officiating. Burial will follow in the North District Amish Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the Kentucky Sorting Center located on Old Railroad Lane Guthrie, KY from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Detweiler was born in Burton, OH March 16 1937 the son of the late Lester L. Detweiler and Fannie Schmucker Detweiler. He was a member of the North District Amish Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Kauffman) Detweiler.
He is survived by his sons Alan (Mary Ann) Detweiler of Guthrie, KY, Raymond (Irene) Detweiler of Union Grove, NC, Joey (Martha Ann) Detweiler of Guthrie, KY, Willie (Leanna) Detweiler of Irvington, KY, Bobby (Susan) Detweiler of Auburn, KY, and David (Arlene) Detweiler of Colon, MI, his daughters Barbara (Steve) Yoder of Bradford, TN and Kathy (Delmar) Graber of Auburn, KY, his brother Lester (Sonny) Detweiler of Middlefield, OH, his sisters Carol (Bill) Miller of Middlefield, OH, Susan (Henry) Miller of Sarasota, FL, Sally (John) Miller of Middlefield, OH and Cora (Sam) Byler of Bloomfield, OH. 49 Grandchildren and 67 Great Grandchildren.
