Mrs. Margaret Powell age 82 of Allegre, KY passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 10:52 a.m. at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY of natural causes. Services will be Saturday February 4, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Harrison and Rev. Ron Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday February 3, 2017 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY and on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Mt. Tabor Church after 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Powell was born in Todd County November 10, 1934 the daughter of the late William Virgil Powell and Goolie Pearl Mitchell Powell. She was a past employee of Elkton Apparel from 1950 to 1958, and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett Elwood Powell in 1991.
She is survived by her sons Tony (Debra) Powell of Allegre, KY, Terry (Martee) Powell of Cadiz, KY, her daughters Janice Powell of Allegre, KY, Lisa (Ron) Noffsinger of Allegre, KY, Teresa Mann of Allegre, KY, and Sandra (Billy) Haley of Sharon Grove, KY, her brothers Leon Powell and James Earl Powell both of Allegre, KY, her sisters June Francies and Barbara Blake both of Elkton, KY 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
