Mr. Ishmael Gerald English age 94 of Eldon, MO passed away Friday June 2, 2107 in Olean, MO. Funeral services will be held in Eldon, MO Monday June 5, 2017 at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church. Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday June 6, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Gant Cemetery in Todd County with Rev. Tommy Wilhite officiating. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. English was born June 30, 1922 in Pike County, KY the son of the late Wilford Lee English and Anna Murl Hurt English. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he served with the 85th Division of the 403rd Artillery . He was employed with International Harvester for eleven years and retired from Caterpillar with 28 years of service. He enjoyed restoring old cars and spending time with his family. His wife Sally Wilhite English passed away May 9, 2014.
He is survived by his sons Tony and his wife Debbie English of Olean, MO and Barry and his wife Mary English of Decatur, IL, his brother Dillard English and his sisters Kathleen Barrett and Wanda Houchins
