Mrs. Correne Wells McClellan Latham, age 78 of Clifty, passed away 4:38 PM, February 13, 2018 at Diversacare of Greenville, KY of natural causes. Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow in the First General Baptist Church Cemetery in Russellville. Visitation for Mrs. Correne will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Latham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Correne was born April 10, 1939 in Todd Couty, KY. She worked at Elkton Apparel for 38 years and worked at Flynn Enterprises. She was a member of Joines Chapel General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Beaulah Petrie Wells, her first husband, Kenneth McClellan in 1985 and her second husband, Bernice Latham in 1988.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Shemwell of Clifty, her sister, Nancy Gates of Greenville, KY; her grandchildren, Jason Lear and John Shemwell and her great granddaughter, Kaliegh Shemwell.
