Mrs. Alice Ann Mitchell, age 78 of Elkton, passed away 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz, KY of natural causes. Services for Mrs. Mitchell will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday at Latham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mitchell was born August 7, 1939 in Trigg Co., KY the daughter of the late Dan Patton Bennett and Gertha Stewart Bennett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Bernice Wayne Powell and his wife Mary of Elkton; Randy Delane Powell of Kirkmansville and Danny Glenn Powell and his wife Deana of Hopkinsville, her daughters, Rita K. Powell and her husband, Eddie of Elkton, Lisa Ann Powell of Hopkinsville and Carolyn Sue Collins of Elkton; her sisters, Helen Hendrix of Peoria, IL, Elizabeth Mayes and Imalene Sue Powell both of Elkton, 19 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
